The educational structure of S.T.E.A.M based programs is rooted in each of its letters. S.T.E.A.M is an acronym for a Science and Technology based program that allows students to learn through Engineering, Art, and Mathematical elements. This functional and multi-faceted program is so much more engaging than textbook learning because is shows students the use of everything they learn in real-time. The integration of S.T.E.A.M curriculum gives students a full spectrum of approaches to problem-solving, as well as simultaneous exposure to many divisions of education.

Tip-Top Brain introduced S.T.E.A.M Summer Camps to help guardians capitalize off of the time students have off by furthering learning. The holistic approach is immersive, explaining why the knowledge students receive is useful in the real world. The interactive nature encourages each student to analyze, think critically and apply what they learn during their time in attendance. We cap our classes for S.T.E.A.M Summer Camps at 16-20 students, maintaining a high instructor to student ratio that maximizes guidance and assistance.

The 5 week long program gives participating students an advantage upon returning to school when summer ends. From Monday to Friday, running from 9am to 5pm, the camp gives each student hours of practice in the subjects of writing, reading, math and science. Students also enjoy special movie, game and recess hours along with a daily lunch break to regroup from the academic fun and enjoy some sun. The cycle of subjects and approach keep things exciting. Science is especially different thanks to Tip-Top Brain’s approach, unlike anything you’d find at typical summer day camps.

In the past, Tip-Top Brain’s Summer S.T.E.A.M Camp focused on the anatomy of the human body. The complicated structures, parts, and functions within were broken down thoroughly with virtual reality technology. Through the use of virtual reality technology, our educated team taught excited students about the nature of the cell and how it is the basis of key organs and tissues. The program then expands to educate students about the organ systems, various diseases, treatments for specific diseases and preventative measures.

Overall, students in attendance at the camp are given exciting and truly life-changing knowledge that inform them about the basic nature of the human body. Combined with the access to our virtual reality headsets and program, the perplexing materials are easier for kids to understand. The daily interaction with the material, our instruction, and technology help students retain the knowledge. The visually stimulating investigation of previously mentioned body structures such as the lungs, heart, and brain have a profound effect on students understanding of anatomy from the inside out, making this program one of our most sought out.

While upholding our traditional standards of instructing found in our private and personal tutoring programs, we deliver more fun for the summer. To find out more information about our programs for the upcoming months and academic year, schedule a consultation with one of our program coordinators now. Our team at Tip-Top Brain is excited to breakthrough new academic ground with your child, and allow them to experience the advancements of virtual reality in education.
