Hello! My name is Ms. Aleena, teaching assistant at Tip-Top Brain. I graduated from CUNY Hunter College with a B.A./M.A. in Economics. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Finance at CUNY Baruch. Originally from Queens, NY, I attended Stuyvesant High School, where I actively participated in several clubs such as Save the Children, Red Cross, and Big Sib. My involvement in Save the Children sparked my interest in global issues affecting children, particularly in education.
During my time at Stuyvesant, I observed how the demands of academically challenging programs can sometimes overshadow the joy of learning. I am committed to helping students at Tip-Top Brain retain their enthusiasm for education by creating an engaging and supportive environment. My goal is to foster a love for learning that endures beyond the classroom and prepares them for future success.
My decision to major in Economics stems from my curiosity about human decision-making and its impact on our communities and environment. I am particularly interested in the intersection of economics with other fields, as it serves as the foundation for understanding complex societal issues. Outside of my major, I am passionate about geopolitics, educational issues, and climate change, and I hope to explore how these areas intersect.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, dancing, and the performing arts! I believe that every child’s learning style is unique, and I am dedicated to helping each student find their path to understanding and success. At Tip-Top Brain, I get the opportunity to work with diverse learners, tailoring my approach to meet their individual needs, and watching them grow into confident and capable individuals. I look forward to meeting your child and making their learning journey both enjoyable and enriching!
