i started bring my daughter in march ( she’s was in kindergarten )
she was falling behind in reading phonics and writing she was struggling so much that it was affecting her confidence to even try
she would get very anxious and start crying to even try which was becoming a fear I was helpless
I was looking all over the internet for someone who can help her take her hand and break down those first steps to show her that she can do it because I know my little girl can she only needed the guidance . After 3 months of hard work , commitment consistency my little girl made it

When my child first came to tip top brains he couldn’t read or write properly. He had really hard time focusing but with the help he got from tip top he was taken out from ESL program to a regular classroom in 6 months now he can read write and do his homework without any problems. We joined the Tip Top family in September and it was the best thing we ever did for my child. My daughter is in 4th grade and she has been struggling with math and at times ELA. She was always so frustrated trying to figure out the answers. My husband and I both have full time jobs and we felt the same frustration when we would help her with homework. Sometimes we didn’t even know the answers. She ended up getting more confused and upset. I can’t be more appreciative of having Tip Top. Now that she started Tip Top she no longer feels upset or overwhelmed. Tip Top brain gives my daughter the exact boost of confidence that she needs to succeed. She comes home with amazing grades in all subjects and is so ecstatic to show me. I was so impressed by my daughters improvement, I also put my son who is taking physics and trig in high school this year. Both my kids enjoy going to Tip Top, they greet all the children with such a warm welcome every time we see them. And that to me is worth everything. Tip Top Brain knows my children so well, knows how to involve them in the assignments so delicately in anyway that they understand. At first I only had my daughter go 2 times a week. I have previously used a tutoring service for my son – similar in concept but not execution. To start, his assessment was so thorough that it really dialed in to what he needed to improve upon. The classroom is comfortable, clean and quiet and my son has ZERO distractions while he works. His tutoring time is incredibly structured from the length of the lesson to the work he receives. The tutors themselves are not only qualified – they are friendly and clear in communication about your child’s progress. Pricing is very reasonable for the service. Finally, Tip-Top is owned and managed by two Astoria natives so you are supporting a local business.

My son has received individualized math tutoring for over two months. I already see a difference in his confidence with math. What’s astounding to me is how he loves going there for his twice a week sessions. He used to hate math, but tonight he told me he wanted to practice more. I believe it’s the instruction he has received at Tip Top Brain. I had researched Kumon as well, but at Tip Top Brain the help is personalized for the child, is aligned with Common Core standards, and doesn’t rely just on rote drill. In addition to tutoring they also have great Coding classes. My son has loved this class! I highly recommend this center!

My son never liked nor wanted a tutor because he felt they just weren’t going to teach him the way his at school teachers did or because he wasn’t going to like them. This all changed since he took both private lessons and group lessons at Tip Top Brain. His problem areas in Math have and are improving and he likes all his teachers. Best decision we ever made!
