My wife and I were very fortunate to find TipTop Brain Academy for summer camp for our two boys, ages 7 & 10. Each has very individualized needs in their academic and personal lives, and Ourania was incredibly gifted and skilled in how deftly she helped each one. Her degrees in this field are second to none and it shows; her knowledge of current teaching methods and neurological development completely informs her approach, but her compassion is what really shines through. She clearly sees the strengths and needs of each child, carefully considering what they are facing in the moment, as well as what will best suit their future growth and development. She made herself incredibly available to our questions and concerns; honestly, the best conversations we’ve ever had with educators in our children’s lives. She completely gets it, especially when dealing with children that are neurodivergent, whether they’re ADHD, G&T, ASD, etc. She understands the difficulty those children can have in our modern educational structure and bureaucracy, helping to advocate for children’s unique learning needs that may not “present” in brief general environments where they can “mask”, but emerge over the duration where coping strategies become obvious.
