Prevent Summer Brain Drain!
Keep your child engaged and practicing essential skills with our best STEAM Summer Camp yet!
Practice critical ELA and Math skills
Since students in K-2 are naturally curious about the world, we build on that curiosity through hands-on learning, all while continuing to enhance their reading, writing, & math skills.
Putting ART into STEM
We believe that Art is just as important as the other academic disciplines, especially for young students. While experimenting with various materials, art helps improve fine motor skills and boosts self-confidence!
Crucial skill development
Students will also have the chance to strengthen their fine motor and socioemotional skills as well as build strong student-teacher and student-peer relationships.
Full STEAM Immersion
We don't just teach STEAM, we DO STEAM! Students will learn about the given STEAM theme at large and approach it from various perspectives.
Brain Breaks
Students will have plenty of movement and brain breaks (dance, yoga, meditation, stretching, etc.) throughout the day to keep their bodies moving and gears grinding.
Early drop-off and late pick-up available
For your convenience, early drop-off will be available as early as 7:00 am and late pick-up will be available as late as 6:00 pm.
Highly qualified and engaging instructors
You can be assured that your child instructors during each STEAM summer camp, or any time of year for that matter, are experts in their fields with genuine passion to pass their knowledge along in fun and creative ways.
Fun in the Sun!
Each day, students will eat lunch with their fellow campers and then head over to the nearby park (weather-permitting) for some fun in the sun (it is a STEAM summer camp after all!) Otherwise, students will participate in various indoor activities of their choice. Students must bring own bagged lunch; water is provided.
All CDC health safety measures in place
As of current guidelines, masks will be optional for all students and teachers. To that end, we want to assure you that we'll be encouraging our students to practice hand washing regularly, as well as continuing our thorough, regular Covid-cleaning protocol in the center.

An exciting day at Tip-Top Brain's Summer STEAM Camp
Below is a typical schedule for our campers during our summer STEAM camp. Of course, our summer STEAM camp is jam-packed with exciting activities and lessons, so our "typical schedule" may vary.
Check-in
8:50 AM - 9:00 AM
Morning Circle
9:00 AM - 9:15 AM
Every morning, campers will gather in a circle to greet one another, express their emotional state, and engage in a short discussion to support social-emotional needs as the foundation for academic learning and engagement. Morning circle provides a time for listening, developing attention span, promoting oral communication, and learning new concepts and skills.
Academic Enrichment
9:15 AM - 10:10 AM
Campers will practice their reading, writing, and math skills through differentiated instruction to meet students where they are and get them to where they need to be.
Movement/Brain Breaks
10:10 AM - 10:20 AM
Campers will engage in quick, structured breaks using physical movement, mindfulness exercises, or sensory activities which re-energizes them and increases their ability to focus on the next learning activity. Some examples include: dancing, yoga, meditation, “would you rather?,” etc.
Snack
10:20 AM - 10:30 AM
Campers eat a quick snack to satisfy hunger between meals and boost energy before moving on to the next activity.
Continue with Academic Enrichment
10:30 AM - 11:20 AM
Campers switch subjects and continue to work on building their reading or math fluency skills.
Movement/Brain Breaks
11:20 AM - 11:30 AM
Campers participate in another movement break before washing their hands and getting ready for lunch!
Lunch/Park
11:30 AM - 12:45 PM
Campers gather together to eat lunch before they head out the door to go to the park for epic fun! Outdoor play benefits students by improving their memory and attention, helping them stay on topic in class, reducing their disruptive behavior, and improving their social development.
Cool Down
12:45 PM - 1:00 PM
Upon returning from the park, students wash their hands and prepare for cool down by enjoying ice cream and choice time.
STEAM
1:00 PM - 2:45 PM
Campers will engage in STEAM (STEM + Art) activities that include an artistic or creative element, in addition to the natural disasters they will be learning all about. STEAM fosters critical thinking, increases science literacy, and provides a new set of skills for self-expression and communication.
Closing Circle
2:45 PM - 3:00 PM
After clean-up, campers will gather together one last time to celebrate the day and each other before we say our goodbyes in order to practice meaningful reflection, gain a sense of belonging, and celebrate each other’s accomplishments!

In congruence with NYC schools, our STEAM summer campers will not be required to wear masks at camp. Of course, if parents or kiddos feel more comfortable attending camped masked, they’re welcome to!
- Bocce, Basketball, Hopscotch
- Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality

- 3D Printing, and Origami Modeling
- Creative Interdisciplinary Themed-Projects
For parents of kids in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, the deadline to register for our 2023 STEAM Summer Camp is Saturday, June 17th. However, we suggest you enroll your child sooner rather than later, as seats fill quickly.
Nope! We know how important it is for kids to get their time outside in the sun and fresh air. No less, it’s summer time! Aside from the fun we have during our STEAM activities, our students take a recess at the local park each day for no less than 45 minutes (it is a STEAM summer camp after all!)This park-time is very popular amongst students and instructors alike, as it’s a unique opportunity to play and learn more about one another outside the classroom.
Campers participate in a myriad of fun activities throughout their camp day. Including but not limited to:
- STEM Challenges
- Read Alouds
- Phonics Centers
- Creative Interdisciplinary Themed Art Projects
- Basketball, Soccer, Hopscotch, etc.
Unfortunately, we don’t offer half-day or part-time options for K-2 students. As a learning center, we aim to deliver a comprehensive curriculum over the course of the summer, and we believe it’s important for students to attend camp regularly so as not to miss out on any learning opportunities and for students to make visible progress.
